The Commission has granted €382.7 million under the 2022 tranche of PHẢN ỨNG-EU to support the recovery and the digital and green transition of Spain. This additional funding under the Quỹ Phát triển khu vực châu Âu is added to twelve 2014-2020 operational programmes to help the health system fighting the coronavirus pandemic and to facilitate investments in the green and digital transition. These resources are added to €10.9 billion of funding already provided to Spain thanks to REACT-EU in 2021 and to €354.8m already allocated to five Spanish regions under the 2022 tranche of REACT-EU in December 2021. As part of Thế hệ tiếp theoEU, REACT-EU provides a top-up of €50.6 billion (in current prices) to the 2014-2020 Cohesion policy programmes over the course of 2021 and 2022.

Measures focus on supporting labour market resilience, jobs, SMEs and low-income families, as well as setting future-proof foundations for the green and digital transitions and a sustainable socio-economic recovery in accordance with the REACT-EU objectives and with the Các khuyến nghị cụ thể cho quốc gia năm 2020 for the country concerned. REACT-EU entered into force on 24 December 2020 and can finance expenditure retroactively from 1 February 2020 until 31 December 2023. More information is available in the press release.
